I’m Brian. I’ve spent 13 years in the pool industry. I started as a Certified Pool Operator and pool manager, running routes and treating water through college. After that I worked at Poolcorp for 4 years, then Hayward for 3.

Wherever I was — at a distributor counter, on a service truck, behind a manufacturer’s warranty desk — the same conversation kept happening. A homeowner called the dealer asking about their claim. The dealer didn’t know. The dealer called the OEM. The OEM asked for a serial number, a date of install, three photos, and a chemistry log. The dealer didn’t have all of it. The claim got denied or sat in limbo for weeks. Everybody got mad at everybody else.

Warranty is a pain point you can’t really fix from inside any one company. The dealer can’t fix it because they don’t control the OEM portals. The OEM can’t fix it because they don’t control how the dealer captures information in the field. The distributor can’t fix it because they sit in the middle. So it just keeps being broken, and the people who pay are the homeowner and the service tech who actually has to look them in the eye.

I built PoolWarranty.io because I lived inside that broken loop and nobody was going to fix it for me. I wanted something I’d have wanted on a service truck — capture the nameplate with your phone, file the claim cleanly, give the homeowner a status link they can actually read.

I’m not trying to disrupt anyone. I’m friends with people across this industry — at Hayward, at Poolcorp, at the small dealerships I learned the trade from. The whole point of this thing is to make warranty suck less for everybody — the homeowner, the dealer, the manufacturer. Claims still go to the OEM’s warranty desk. The dealer still owns the customer relationship. I just take some of the friction out of the middle.

If you’re a service tech and you want to try it out, the demo is free and the dealer tier is free forever for small operators. If you’re at a manufacturer or distributor and you want to talk about how to make this work better for your dealer network, I’d love to talk.
